Another part of the Estate has cultivable area for corn, bean and bamboo. For protection of erosions in the fields we use Izote which is a good source of plant that helps to keep the soil together and strong for rainy season. In the Estate a tree called “Copalchi” is used for protection of the coffee plants from strong winds so it works as a wind barrier for certain areas in the farm.
